WeChat account makes life easier for taxpayers

Jul 10, 2017

The Fengxian tax bureau has been testing its WeChat service account for several months with good results.

The account allows users to check information about queues in the bureau's service hall, estimated time of waiting, relevant procedures, official notices and other service items.

The WeChat account has reduced the size of waiting crowds in the hall by 30 percent and saved taxpayers 40 to 60 percent of their time.

"With new functions of the WeChat account, I can take a waiting number online before I go to the tax bureau. This can save me a lot of time," said a local taxpayer surnamed Xing.

People can check the real-time waiting status on their phones and receive an advance notice before their number is called. The bureau can open more service windows according to the number of reservations.
