Chinese Traditional Folk Art Exhibition Hall is a human tourism item themed by Chinese traditional folk culture.
Located in subtropical monsoon region with an average annual temperature of 16 ℃, the exhibition hall enjoys a pleasant climate.
This exhibition hall covers an area of 20,000 square meters and is 4 stories high with a collection of more than 700 traditional handiworks like ceramics, colored glaze, shadow figures, clay sculpture, embroider, knit, cloth art, jade articles, wonder stones and root carving work. Moreover, works from dozens of state-level masters and folk handiworks bordered on the extinction are kept there.
Except for static collections, tourists can enjoy song and dance performance and food from various ethnic groups home and abroad. For example, lusheng (a traditional instrument) dance of the Miao Nationality and sun dance of Africa; cold noodles with shred chicken of Sichuan Province and the traditional snack "waffles" of Belgium.
There are revolving scenic lamp showing the category of traditional Chinese handiworks in the daytime and shadow figure performances in the evening at the entrance of the hall.
The exhibition hall is conveniently located with Xin Feng Jin Highway and Lupu Bridge nearby. It is 40 km away from the city center, 7km from the center of Fengxian District, 30km from Hongqiao Airport and 30km from Pudong International Airport.
