Guhua Garden


Guhua Garden is a large scale comprehensive pseudo-classic garden which was built in 1984 and was renovated and expanded several times. Now the garden covers an area of over 60 acres, 63% of which was green land and 22% was water, and it combines both history and scenery.

The garden boasts various kinds of flowers, lakes, bridges and traditional Chinese architectures.

Famous scenic spots in the garden include: the "First Bridge in Nantang" built in 1799; 28-meter-high "Silicified wood" born in Jurassic Age; traditional Chinese gardens—Wanqing Garden (nice weather after rain at night fall) and Qiushui Garden (river in autumn); "Sannv Memorial Museum" (Museum of Three Princesses) created based on history story which is about Fuchai, king of Wu state Spring and Autumn Period (770BC-476BC), buried his three daughters alive.

There are swimming pools, teahouses, broad lakes where people can canoe, and the biggest suburban amusement park furnished with modern amusement facilities where tourists can have a thrilling experience.

The tour in this garden is free of charge.
